Q: Will my child be revealing their identity
by creating a Web page as a
group activity
for class?
A: No!! The first rule of "Netiquette"
(Common Sense Guidlines) is that
they are NOT
to give out ANY personal information on the Internet!!
Q: Should I go out and buy a computer.
A: Buying a computer is NOT necessary!!
Students will have plenty
of school time
to complete their assignments. I also have Internet
access form from
the Public Library. Students may complete these
forms and return
them to the library. The forms do require parental
consent.
THE CHOICE TO OBTAIN THIS OPTION ON FOR THE
SUDENT IS TOTALLY
YOUR DECISION. AS THE PARENT YOU
HAVE THE FINAL
SAY.
Q: What if the student does not have a
home computer and I (the parent)
do not feel comfortable
letting my child have unsupervixed Internet at
the library?
Will my child be able to complete the assignments?
A: I arrive 45 minutes to an hour
before school and I am willing to stay
after school
anytime. All the student has to do is let me know they
need to
come in early or stay after school. I am very flexible.
